The Regional Director of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rating agency Sergey Khristolyubov paid an official visit to Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the University staff headed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector Nurlan Dulatbekov. The key event of the meeting was a presentation on the topic "Main Results of the 2025 Ranking Cycle".During the presentation, the methodology of QS rankings, the positions of Buketov University based on the results of the 2025 cycle, as well as the main trends in the higher education system that affect the ranking indicators were discussed in detail.Sergey Khristolyubov noted the dynamic development of the university and the potential for further growth of its academic reputation and international recognition. Recommendations were given for optimizing the university's activities taking into account QS criteria, aimed at improving the quality of education, the effectiveness of scientific research, internationalization and interaction with employers. Rector N.O. Dulatbekov emphasized the importance of such meetings for strategic planning and determining development priorities. "The data and analytics received today from QS are an invaluable tool for us," said Nurlan Dulatbekov. "We see our strengths and clearly understand what we need to work on to strengthen our position on the world stage and ensure high quality education and scientific research." The university staff actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about the presented materials and mechanisms for improving indicators. The analytical materials received will form the basis for developing and adjusting the university's development plans aimed at reaching new heights in global educational rankings and strengthening the status of the leading university in the region.
