PSYCHOLOGY AS A VOCATION: "BALAUBAYEV READINGS - XVII" ENDED THE PSYCHOLOGY WEEK AT KARAGANDA UNIVERSITY

On April 25, a busy and significant Psychology Week ended at the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. A bright final point was the holding of the Annual Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Balaubaev Readings - XVII", this year timed to coincide with several important anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of Academician Evney Arystanovich Buketov, the 125th anniversary of the founder of the Kazakhstani school of psychology S.B. Balaubaev, the 75th anniversary of the prominent scientist S.M. Dzhakupov and the 35th anniversary of the University's Psychology Department.The rector of the university, Doctor of Law, Professor Dulatbekov Nurlan Orynbasarovich addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. A special atmosphere of solemnity was given by the participation of the deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philosophy Altai Amanzhol Duysenbayuly and the vice-rector for academic affairs - Member of the Board, Doctor of Philosophy Madina Maksimovna Umurkulova."35 years is not just a number. This is the age of understanding, summing up and, most importantly, new horizons. I am deeply convinced that the Department of Psychology has approached this stage with dignity. High indicators, scientific achievements and strong potential are what our department can rightfully be proud of," M.M. Umurkulova emphasized in her speech.The plenary session was opened by Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Psychology Sabirova R.Sh. with a meaningful and profound report "Yevney Arystanovich Buketov - scientist, teacher, public figure". Warm and inspiring words were spoken about the man whose name the university proudly bears today - a symbol of scientific honesty, humanism and dedication to the cause of education. The conference brought together leading psychologists, young researchers and students from all over the country, as well as foreign guests from Russia, Uzbekistan, Brazil and other countries.
