TRANSFORMATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC TECHNOLOGY PARK
The Scientific Technology Park named after Zhambyl Akylbayev of Buketov Karaganda National Research University has undergone a significant transformation. A comprehensive design concept has been implemented, and the internal layout of the technology park premises has been redesigned, resulting in the formation of key functional areas: a changing room, a waiting area, a space for presentations and public speaking, as well as a coworking area.To equip these zones, specialized furniture and equipment were purchased and installed. As part of upgrading the research centers of the technology park, specialized laboratory furniture was procured. The acquired complexes include modern laboratory benches, fume hoods and storage systems, enabling the creation of safe and technologically advanced workplaces for researchers. The Akylbayev Research Center technology park was established to support and develop innovative activities, commercialize the results of scientific research, experimental design and development work, and inventions, as well as to promote technological entrepreneurship among academic staff, doctoral candidates, master’s students, undergraduate students, the university and external partners.Today, the technology park is actively engaged in innovative, research and educational activities in the fields of alternative energy, biomedical photonics, nanotechnology, chemical sciences, robotics, IT development, 3D modeling, SMART pedagogy and psychology.Currently, the technology park structure includes nine successfully operating research centers and laboratories covering key areas of modern technologies: the Laboratory of Hydrogen Production and Storage Problems; the Research Laboratory “Renewable Energy Sources”; the Center for Biomedical Photonics; the Scientific-Research Institute of Chemical Problems; the Personnel Conformity Assessment Body (Certification and Qualification Assessment Center); the Innovation Center for Well-being and Professional Development; the Laboratory of Applied Mechanics and Robotics; the Laboratory of Additive Technologies and Intelligent Electronic Devices; and the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence.
