On September 26, the International Scientific Conference "E.A. Buketov's Life and Works" was held at the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding scientist's birth. The event featured the unveiling of the collectible coin "E. BÓKETOV. 100 JYL" from the "Outstanding Events and People" series, and a presentation of his collected works, "Shygarmalar Zhinagy" / "Collected Works."Various events dedicated to Evney Arystanovich's 100th anniversary were held throughout the year. Among them was Buketov Day at George Washington University (USA). The conference in Karaganda was the culmination of this large-scale program.The university staff was congratulated on receiving this status by: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.S. Ashimbayev; Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.Zh. Koshanov; Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek; members of the Senate and Majilis; Akim of the Karaganda Region E. Bulekpayev; university rectors, and others.Chairman of the Board – Rector N.O. Dulatbekov noted that history always includes individuals who, despite changing eras, remain true to their views and beliefs, preserving humanistic ideas and a high moral standard:"For me, Buketov is precisely one of these great individuals. His multifaceted talent made him a truly outstanding figure of his time. The legacy he left behind continues to resonate in the minds of the new generation and becomes a guiding light on the path to developing the national future."The scientist's daughter, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Aksulu Evneevna Buketova, thanked the national government, Akim of the Karaganda Region, E.K. Bulekpaev, and University Rector, N.O. Dulatbekov, for their support of the anniversary events, noting that for the family, this was more than just a celebration, but a tribute to a man who dedicated his life to science, education, and culture.The conference was attended by members of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akim of the Karaganda Region, leading Russian and international scientists, renowned alumni, relatives of E.A. Buketov, and representatives of cultural and public organizations.
