Today, Buketov University's first-year students celebrated a long-awaited event—the "Welcome to Buketov 2025" student induction ceremony, complete with an oath and a rousing show.
The now-traditional event was attended by university administration, faculty deans, activists, members of the Student Parliament, and volunteers. Buketov University Rector N. O. Dulatbekov addressed those present. "Dear students, today you become full members of the E. A. Buketov Karaganda National Research University. I sincerely congratulate you on this joyful and significant occasion.
Within the university, you will not only gain professional knowledge but also develop your own perspective, human responsibility, and spiritual development. From today on, you become the successors of the university's rich traditions, a young wave standing on the threshold of new heights.
Student life is the most vibrant and wonderful time in everyone's life. May this journey bring you new friends, unforgettable memories, and a confident path to big dreams.
On behalf of the entire team, I wish you good health, excellent spirits, and great success. Have a safe journey!
Then came the Faculty Parade, where first-year students were able to demonstrate their affiliation with a particular faculty. This vibrant part of the event significantly enhanced the celebration. Equally moving was the first-year students' solemn oath. They swore promises to study diligently, acquire knowledge, not be afraid of challenges and be prepared, respect their teachers, conduct themselves with dignity, and bring honor to their institution and future profession.
Following the formal part, the entertainment began—performances by the university's creative groups, creating a unique atmosphere of joy and inspiration.
That evening, the university's creative groups "Zharqyn," "Saryn," "Jastar," and "Oyu Dance" lit up the stage. Zhaidarman's "Amazonka" and KVN "Zhanym" teams delivered a burst of humor and positivity, while the "Alaman" group and dance troupe "Qazyna" added a unique flavor and national flair. The highlight was the headlining performance by Kazakhstani artist Qanay. The musical program included vibrant performances by Shyraqbek Seri, Almachinoo, Erkebulan, Symbat, Eskendir, Bekzhan, Moon-i, and DJ Nice.
The evening concluded with celebratory fireworks and a disco.
It's worth noting that the student body has grown significantly this year, with approximately 3,500 new students enrolled.
