SIGNING CEREMONY OF THE MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

On April 25, 2025, a solemn ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the University and the Karaganda Regional Museum of History and Local Lore was held in the conference hall of the rector's office of the Karaganda University named after Academician E. A. Buketov.The event was an important step towards strengthening scientific and cultural ties and was held as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Academician E. A. Buketov. The signing of the memorandum was one of the significant initiatives aimed at popularizing the scientific heritage of the outstanding scientist and developing partnerships in the field of history, culture and education.The Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University Dulatbekov Nurlan Orynbasarovich addressed the participants of the ceremony with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that this cooperation will open new horizons for the implementation of joint scientific projects, educational initiatives and cultural programs.The event was especially symbolic because the director of the Karaganda Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, Nurmaganbetov Erzhan Nurlanovich, is our graduate. His return to his native university, already as a partner, emphasizes the continuity of academic traditions and strengthens the living connection between the university and its graduates, who continue to contribute to the development of science and culture in the region.The director of the Museum of History of the University, Tursynbayeva Karlygash Aitbaykyzy, emphasized the importance of museums in the formation of historical memory and scientific culture. In her address, she noted that museums are not just repositories of artifacts, but living spaces where the past becomes part of the intellectual and value experience of a modern student and researcher. Emphasizing the importance of the new partnership, she expressed confidence that the memorandum will become a powerful impetus for the integration of museum practice into the educational and scientific activities of the university. Kentbek Salavat Kamshybayuly, associate professor and candidate of historical sciences, spoke about the significance of the signed memorandum. In his speech, he noted that the union of the university and the museum today is a manifestation of the humanitarian renaissance. The university as an intellectual platform and the museum as a keeper of memory together form a space where history is comprehended, and society gains access to the dialogue of times. It is at such crossroads that new meanings are born, uniting generations, disciplines and cultural practices.
