The Faculty of Biology and Geography is conducting research with the participation of five invited scientists from various countries. From November 1 to 30, 2025, Professor Alexander Nikolov Tashev (Bulgaria), a specialist in botany, dendrology, and forest ecosystem ecology, author of over 390 scientific publications, and an expert on the Red Data Book of Bulgaria, is working at the faculty.
From November 13 to December 10, 2025, Professor Jerzy Adam Romanowski (Poland), an ecologist and zoologist studying biodiversity and microplastics in aquatic ecosystems and the author of over 160 papers, is conducting research.
From November 15 to December 12, 2025, Professor Atylgan Atylgan (Turkey), a specialist in biosystems engineering, sustainable agriculture, and environmental technologies, author of over 150 publications, and participant in over 15 research projects, is working at the faculty. Svetlana Vladimirovna Smirnova (Russia), a PhD candidate in biology and a specialist in mutagenesis, genetic toxicology, and bioluminescent test systems, will join the research.
From November 24 to December 6, 2025, Stepan Aleksandrovich Senator (Russia), an expert in floristic diversity and invasive plant biology, a participant in projects with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Russian Science Foundation, and a co-author of the Russian Red Data Book, will also conduct research.
