STATE AND PUBLIC FIGURE KUANYSH SULTANOV VISITED THE UNIVERSITY

As part of the anniversary events dedicated to the perpetuation of the name of Academician Evney Arystanovich Buketov, on April 11, 2025, state and public figure Kuanysh Sultanov visited the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov.After a minute of silence, a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Academician Buketov took place. Together with the honored guest, the event was attended by the first deputy akim of the region Alibek Aldeney, the rector of the university Nurlan Dulatbekov, and state and public figure Rymbala Omarbekova.Having made a significant contribution to the development of the state and worked in various fields, Kuanysh Sultanov met with the faculty, students, and media representatives.Rector of the University Nurlan Dulatbekov noted:"Kuanysh Sultanov is not a stranger to Karaganda. In the post-December period, he made a great contribution to solving social issues in the region and honorably fulfilled his duties. It was at that time that he spoke on behalf of the people, developed spirituality and worked to raise the national spirit." Recalling those years, Kuanysh Sultanov shared his thoughts on the importance of Independence and national self-awareness.- Working in the industrial region of Karaganda was a great responsibility for me. In those years, Karaganda University, its professors, teachers and representatives of the intelligentsia actively participated in solving common problems, - noted the statesman and public figure.He also noted the outstanding contribution of Academician E.A. Buketov.- Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to personally meet with Evney Arystanovich. However, wherever I went, the stories of people who worked with him and communicated with him personally always touched my soul, and I always wanted to hear more about him. During my work here, the rector of the university was Zeinolla Moldakhmetov. This university was among the leading educational institutions of the Union republics, - shared Kuanysh Sultanov.The students asked questions that concerned them and received meaningful answers. Particular attention was paid to the difficulties of opening Kazakh schools in those years and the problems of the language.At the end of the meeting, Kuanysh Sultanov presented the university library with his books - "Kazakhtyn Konayevy", "Otyz zhyldyn oy-tolgauy". The rector of the university expressed gratitude to the honored guest and presented him with a painting by the famous artist, a victim of the Semipalatinsk test site Karipbek Kuyukov as a sign of respect.
