Starting from September 1st, the famous Cuban boxer Mario Cesar Kindelan will teach at Karaganda Buketov University – two-time Olympic champion and three-time world boxing champion. His name is known far beyond Cuba, because he gave fans unforgettable fights and entered the history of world sport.On the eve, the legendary boxer was met at the airport by representatives of the university and famous masters of sport, among them – Olympic champion and Barker Cup holder Serik Sapiev. He noted that the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly spoken about the importance of attracting foreign experience and implementing the best world practices into the system of higher education of the country. This is necessary for improving its quality and competitiveness, for preparing specialists who meet modern requirements.«The refore I am very glad that my native alma mater opens its doors to such outstanding sportsmen and mentors like Mario Kindelan».Mario Kindelan is one of the brightest stars in the history of Cuban and world amateur boxing. He earned the respect of fans and experts thanks to his intellectual fighting style, lightning-fast footwork and impenetrable defense. Kindelan represented the classical Cuban boxing school, where technique, strategy, distance control and the ability to win with mind, not only strength, are important. His fights became real lessons of mastery and inspired a whole generation of athletes.Today the legendary champion shares his rich experience with young athletes of the university, and within the framework of the third mission of the university he will travel to regions to conduct master classes, trainings and meetings with youth.Karaganda Buketov University is famous for its graduates, among whom are outstanding boxers Gennady Golovkin, Serik Nurkazov, Serik Eleuov, Beibut Eszhanov, Arkady Topaev, Ablaikhan Zhussupov and others.
