IMPLEMENTATION OF SIGNIFICANT INITIATIVES

Today, the 5th session of the National Kurultai was held in Kyzylorda with the participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.A number of important key moments were discussed on Kurultai. One of them was the President’s statement that Kazakhstan must become a country of hardworking citizens and a territory of justice, law and order.A significant point in K.-J. Tokayev’s speech was his remark that “behind the recognition of our flag stand the achievements of domestic athletes, the work of scientists, the successes of entrepreneurs and the triumphs of musicians. These achievements become the heritage of the entire nation and strengthen its authority in the world”.In addition, particular emphasis was placed on artificial intelligence. The Head of State said: “Successful nations will be those that have managed to adapt to the new reality created by artificial intelligence and, moreover, actively and substantively participate in formation of such reality”.As stated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, a separate artificial intelligence university is being established in Kazakhstan on the basis of the Alem.ai ecosystem, in partnership with leading foreign universities. To date, 95 universities across the country have already introduced the discipline “Artificial Intelligence”. This year, it is planned to provide advanced AI courses to approximately 100,000 students. By 2030, within the framework of the AI SANA program, it is planned to train one million people in AI skills. In addition, AI will be integrated into the training process of teaching staff themselves to enhance their professional qualifications. In his turn, the Rector of Academician Ye.A. Buketov Karaganda Research University, N.O. Dulatbekov noted that a group of lawyers and specialists at the university has joined efforts to create a platform that provides free legal consultations. The development of an AI-based digital platform is not merely a technological project, but a powerful tool for social transformation. In conditions where legal assistance is physically and financially inaccessible, such a system becomes a “digital equalizer”. For example, in remote villages and rural settlements, people often do not know their rights or are unable to defend them. This leads to violations in areas such as land relations, access to social benefits, and labor rights. The AI platform fills this gap by providing basic legal consultations 24/7.“The Kurultai is an important mechanism for discussion and decision-making, and it is encouraging that many initiatives in the fields of education and science are being successfully implemented. The outcomes of previous sessions have contributed to the realization of significant initiatives aimed at addressing pressing challenges,” the Rector emphasized.
