MUKHTAR MAGAUIN – "THE ALASH OF RUHANIA"

On December 11, 2025, the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov held a scientific and educational seminar, "The Alash of Ruhaniya" (The Alash of Ruhaniya), dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of the great writer Mukhtar Magauin, who made an invaluable contribution to Kazakh literature and national spirituality. The event began with a congratulatory speech by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development N.A. Zhetpisbayev, followed by moderators A.A. Duisembayev and E.E. Tuite.

The seminar was attended by philological specialists, literary critics, public figures, journalists, and young researchers. A particularly memorable moment was the participation of Mukhtar Magauin's son, Edige Mukhtarovich, in the event. He directly shared with the participants his father's literary legacy and his spiritual contribution to national culture.

Serik Aksunkaruly emphasized his impressions of his personal meeting with Mukhtar Magauin and the writer's role in his work and national spirituality. During the presentations, various aspects of the writer's work were revealed, and the continuity of national identity, historical memory and modern thinking were discussed in detail: "Giant of National Artistic Thought" - Erbol Erdembekuly Tleshov, "Mukhtar's Tower" - Zhansaya Zhangazuly Zharylgapov, "The Duty of a Generation to Glorify the Great: Magauin's Last Journey and 85th Anniversary" - Azamat Aldashuly Duisembayev, "Magauin and Youth" - Edige Mukhtaruly, "The Phenomenon of Magauin" - Erlan Mukatayuly Ashim, "Mukhtar Magauin - a Researcher of the Khanate's Literature" - Sagymbay Botpayuly Zhumagyul, "A Writer Loyal to His Country" - Ernat Melisuly Rahmetolla. Students Dilara Miramkul and Magzhan Kudaibergen also presented their papers, and Nurasil Amanzhol read a dedication to the soul of Mukhtar Magauin.

At the end of the event, guests were presented with souvenirs from the university and the magazine "Zhastar Alemi," which contained materials about Mukhtar Magauin and an interview with Edige Mukhtaruly. Edige Mukhtaruly also presented the speakers with a copy of Mukhtar Magauin's novel-duology "I." The seminar concluded with a coffee break and warm and fruitful conversations. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the writer's spiritual legacy and took away his wise teachings, which serve as a shining example for young people.
