Republican Scientific and Practical Seminar "Scientific Journals of Kazakhstan: Quality, Management, and International Integration"On January 20, 2026, Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov hosted an important professional dialogue. Jointly with the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a republican scientific and practical seminar was held dedicated to the future of Kazakhstani scientific journals.The event aimed to provide a comprehensive discussion of current issues in the development of scientific periodicals: from ensuring high editorial standards to developing effective strategies for integration into the global scientific information space.The discussion was structured around key topics:Strategic Session: "Quality Standards, Analytics, and International Visibility of Scientific Journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan."· Thematic session: "Modern Practices and Strategies for the Development of Scientific Journals in Kazakhstan."· Roundtable: "Current Issues in the Development of Scientific Journals in Economics: Experience and Tools."Leading industry experts joined the discussion: invited speakers, editors-in-chief of scientific journals, deans and deputy deans for research, as well as anyone interested in developing academic communication in Kazakhstan.The seminar was held in a blended format (offline and online), allowing for a broader audience reach and increased engagement.Detailed information about the program, materials, and speakers is available on the seminar's dedicated page:
