RESEARCH WORK OF PROFESSOR VITALIY KHUTORYANSKIY AT THE FACULTY OF BIOLOGY AND GEOGRAPHY
From June 4 to July 2, 2025, Professor Vitaliy Viktorovich Khutoryanskiy from the University of Reading (UK) will be conducting research at the Faculty of Biology and Geography. This initiative is part of a national program for attracting foreign scientists, funded by the state budget.Professor Khutoryanskiy is a renowned British chemist specializing in polymers, nanomaterials, pharmaceutical sciences, and drug delivery systems. During his stay, he will focus on refining testing methods for ecotoxicants and chemical substances using invertebrate models. This will enhance the effectiveness and precision of assessing the impact of harmful substances on ecosystems.Professor Khutoryanskiy's scientific contribution includes over 250 publications, cited more than 13,000 times, with an h-index of 56. For his significant achievements in polymer chemistry, colloidal systems, and drug delivery, he has received numerous international awards. He also holds honorary professorships at several foreign universities and actively contributes to mentoring young scientists and peer-reviewing academic research. His presence at the Faculty of Biology and Geography will provide a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange, collaborative research, and strengthening the faculty’s scientific potential—marking an important step in the development of international cooperation.
