INTRODUCTORY LECTURE FOR NEW STUDENTS

On January 29, introductory lectures were held at the Student Palace of Buketov Karaganda National Research University for students who transferred to our university from other higher education institutions.The main goal of the lecture was to familiarize students with the university’s educational process, social support system, academic opportunities, and key student services.At the opening of the event, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development N.A. Zhetpisbayev welcomed students, who transferred to our University, and delivered a lecture “Life Beyond the Classroom: Social Support and Youth Initiatives.” He explained that student life is not only about education, but also about social activity, personal development, and social responsibility.The Director of the Academic Affairs Department, the Registrar’s Office, as well as representatives of the Student and Staff Service Center provided comprehensive information on the organization of the учебный процесс, academic requirements, and the range of services offered.A staff member of the University Library, which is the main center for education and scientific research, introduced students to information resources, electronic databases, and research opportunities.Specialists responsible for academic mobility focused on opportunities for studying, gaining experience, and participating in international programs at foreign universities, emphasizing the importance of initiatives that open the path to the global educational space.The management of the Anti-Corruption Service also stressed the importance of fostering a culture of integrity in the academic environment, paying special attention to the principles of honesty, transparency, and fairness at the university.
