COLLABORATION PROSPECTS

Berik Abbdiqaliuly, Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Ruslan Duvanbekov, Leading Researcher, visited the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov.

In the Faculty of History, the guests viewed the exhibits of the memorial museum dedicated to the life and scientific legacy of the outstanding scientist E.A. Buketov. Following the tour, Museum Director K. Tursynbaeva presented Berik Abbdiqaliuly with E.A. Buketov's membership card of the Union of Writers of the USSR. A note with best wishes from representatives of the National Museum was left in the guest book. A meeting with the faculty was also held to discuss prospects for cooperation between the National Museum and the university, as well as the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage and developing archaeological research.

During the event, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Z.G. Saktaganova spoke about her published books and shared her plans for the future.

The meeting continued in the main building of Buketov University.

Berik Abbdigaliuly spoke about the important projects of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the "Heritage of the Nation" project, which aims to preserve and showcase Kazakhstan's cultural and historical heritage, including such valuable exhibits as the "Golden Horde."

KarNIU faculty and students will be involved in the project.

According to Berik Abbdigaliuly, construction is currently underway on an open-air museum where reconstructions will showcase the lifestyles of people from different eras, restore ancient cities and monuments, and create historical reenactments of battles and events. Such methods allow for a vivid presentation of the daily life, technologies, and military art of past centuries, whether the lives of ancient nomads or the events of the Kazakh Khanate.

In turn, Rector N.O. Dulatbekov noted that the university is interested in holding joint events, such as conferences and roundtable discussions, involving university scholars.

The visit's program also included a visit to the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Saryarka Archaeological Institute.

The key event was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for the implementation of joint projects in science, education, and culture.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Berik Abdigaliuly was presented with a commemorative coin featuring E.A. Buketov, books entitled "Bolmysy Bölek Böketov," "Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Koreans of Kazakhstan in Personal Stories," and merchandise bearing the Buketov University logo. The guests returned the favor with a book entitled "Ancient and Early Medieval Weapons from the National Museum Collection."
