Today, a ceremony honoring Miras Kurakbay, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology who became champion of the Asian Armwrestling Cup in Ajman, UAE, was held in the rector's office of the main building of KarNIU named after Academician E.A. Makatova; faculty and students.To achieve victory in a sport like arm wrestling, one must possess hard work and determination, willpower, and fortitude. These are precisely the character traits that Miras Kurakbay embodies in his everyday life. According to him, the main strength in sports lies not in defeating an opponent, but in defeating oneself.
