By Order No. 288-NK of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Culture and Information Aida Galymovna Balayeva dated June 11, 2026, with the assistance of the university administration, the amateur student theater "Shattyk" of the Students' Palace of the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov was awarded the title of "People's Theater."
This high recognition is the result of many years of fruitful work, continuous creative exploration, and the dedication of the entire team.
We sincerely congratulate the student artists of the theater, directors A.S. Zhumamuratov and Zh.A. Shaken, and everyone who contributed to this success!
"We will continue to comprehensively develop the theater. New productions and unique projects lie ahead. Partnerships with national theaters will be strengthened, and joint creative initiatives will be launched.
Furthermore, we will pay special attention to reviving the student choir and developing its creative potential. We believe that the day is not far off when this group will also conquer great heights and win wide recognition.
