We would like to share some good news with you.At the Buketov Karaganda National Research University, active work is being successfully carried out on the development and writing of massive open online courses for the international platform Coursera. In the 2024–2025 academic year, three massive open online courses organized by the Center for Distance Education were fully prepared and written.In particular, the first course is “Demography and Population Statistics”. The author of the course is Abdrakhmanova Kymbat Kazaliyevna, Associate Professor of the Faculty of History.The second course is “Database Management Systems”. The course was developed by Zhumagulova Saule Komekkizi, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology.The third course is “Contemporary Non-Postclassical Philosophy”. The author of this course is Karipbayev Baizhol Iskakovich, Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Theory of Culture.In addition, work on the development of new massive open online courses for 2026 has begun.In particular, the course “Organization of Project Work in Physics” is being prepared by Kristina Svetlana Gennadyevna, Professor of the Department of Physics and Nanotechnologies, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.The massive open online course “Business Communication” is being developed by Duissembayev Azamat Aldashovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and International Business, Candidate of Economic Sciences.The third planned course is an online course prepared by Ruslan Bakhyt, Candidate of Sciences, Department of Constitutional and International Law.We believe that these courses will provide students with the opportunity to receive modern, high-quality, and accessible education.Today, the digitalization of the educational process is one of the strategic priorities of our university. In this regard, we invite you to actively explore our massive open online courses, which will be launched in the near future, and to broaden your educational horizons.
