WORLD DAY OF TURKISH LANGUAGES AT BUKETOV UNIVERSITY

The vibrant "Keruen" festival, timed to coincide with World Day of Turkic Languages, celebrated annually on December 15, was held in the lobby of the main building of Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E. A. Buketov.Thirteen faculties presented the cultures of the Turkic peoples of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and other countries. A fair was organized as part of the festival, where the faculties presented traditional dishes and introduced guests to the distinctive features of national cuisine and the culture of the Turkic peoples. Participants also demonstrated elements of national costumes. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M. M. Umurkulova and Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development N. A. Zhetpisbaev delivered welcoming remarks. They congratulated those present on the upcoming celebration and noted that the university has many students representing Turkic peoples, which contributes to strengthening intercultural dialogue and developing a multinational academic environment.The program concluded with creative performances by the faculties, featuring folk dances, songs, and other elements of the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples. Participants received letters of gratitude.
